About Me

Originally from the west coast, I attended the University of Nevada-Reno following high school. There, I earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology. I am endeared to UNR, as it was a place of boundless educational opportunities and vibrant social connections. Transformative. The pursuit of a doctoral degree in counseling psychology immediately followed at Washington State University, and ultimately culminated in the southeast region of the US. I completed a predoctoral internship at Duke University Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) in 2016. Furthermore, upon earning my doctorate, I became a Staff Psychologist and Assistant Director of Training Programs at Duke CAPS. Serving in an administrative capacity was rewarding. Shortly before transitioning to full-time independent practice, I became the Director of Training Programs and Assistant Director of Duke University CAPS.

In my free time, I am nourished by spending time with family and friends (laughter!), caring for my hyper dog, reading and listening to music, and watching basketball and ridiculous television shows. Living vicariously through others is, well, fun sometimes.
